You may have seen the office opening blog and seen the office packed with people, 512 to be exact. Or maybe you were here and felt the energy, heard the crowd roar.
Well, the office is a bit emptier on a day to day basis. There are three staff and about 10 to 20 people who come in to volunteer on a weekly basis. They are the ones who do the real campaign work; calling people, copying, alphabetizing, and entering data. Although it’s not as hectic as it was at the opening, we are getting good work done here and people have a good time. This campaign is no different than any other. It’s the volunteers who make a real difference.
So come on down, we are located at 1320 Sutter St. We picked up some comfortable couches and now have a mini fridge with soda and cold water. Eat a pretzel, make some calls, chat with the staff — it’s all in the campaign experience.
