So, I’ve been busy trying to get people to write more articles for the site. If you’ve got a great idea for an article let us know. Send me an email. I’m looking for policy papers on crime, housing, education…I’m searching for it all. ActLocallySF.org is your chance to be heard by the Mayor and the public.
How about a little Act Locally SF blog roundup…We’ve got new people joining every day. Don’t be left out.
Our newest member, Rick is posting on cleaning up SF:
Cleaning-up and maintaining our urban landscape enhances our whole community. “People feel better in clean surroundings and treat each other with greater respect and consideration. A “sense of order” is important not only to those who live and work here, but also for those who travel through on their way home, to shop, or to their jobs.
Cliff Waldeck blogs on neighborhood retail business:
…here in San Francisco we have "formula retail legislation" to keep the chains out but no legislation that helps keep small, independent retailers in. The City is silent on retail when it comes to its own procurement policies.
At Newsom ‘07 Headquarters Aaron is rocking and rolling the phonebank:
Man, I love me a good phonebank. We put the radio on, get out the pretzels and the 2 liters of Diet Coke and 10 people are all calling — making connections on the phone, saying "sir" and "ma’am," leaving a repetitive voice mail or 50.
But hey, this is what campaign work is all about. Lots of hands doing the work together, lightening the load for everyone.
If you want to join the phone banking party or just want to help out on the campaign — give Aaron a call at (415) 351-0359 or send us an email.
