So, the neighborhood meeting was a big success last night. More than 30 people came out to meet and share their concerns with Mayor Newsom despite the crappy weather. I forgot my camera, but I was like, I have a cell phone that will do. The pictures didn't turn out that bad. I got skills.
Residents had a lot of questions. The first half hour or so was spent on WiFi, people kept asking why the Google - Earthlink deal hasn't been approved yet. Hmm...well that sure is a good question. Mayor Newsom also talked up his digital inclusion plan, which

So, it's a little after 5 PM, we have a neighborhood meeting tonight with Mayor Newsom at the Headquarters. Things kick off around 6:30 -- this is a chance for residents in the Sutter and Van Ness area to talk to the Mayor face to face. Many of the people we are expecting to show have lived in this area for a very long time, so it will be interesting what they have to say. It's going to be very informal and comfortable. I've been having a lazy Sunday. So, I was trying to think of a politican that had a goate. I am drawing a blank. Hmm...
What else I just came back from an indoor soccer game. We won. I rode to the game on my fiancees Pink Cruiser bike. It was a smooth ride. I looked pretty good. One guy driving along complemented me, screaming out, "Nice bike." I told him, "You know it."
Watched the Ohio St - Michigan game. Odom is incredible. I don't see the Buckeyes being stopped.

18,000 people have helped those who are less fortunate with Project Homeless Connect.
Gavin says SF is going to be first city in country to provide universal healthcare coverage for people (0-25yrs) in the US...and SF is going to be first city to provide universal coverage to every man, woman, and child.
