From Newsom:
"Today I am calling on our School Board to join with me in crafting a community service requirement in all of our public high schools so that public service is a common expectation – a right of civic passage for all of graduating students."
Mayor Newsom talked about one of the cities biggest challenges, homelessness. He renewed his administration’s commitment to moving homeless individuals off the streets and into housing. Newsom said, "we are getting out of the shelter business."
