Our next stop today is the Linden Lab for a 3PM Second Life event.
Mayor Newsom will appear in Second Life for a conversation with Linden Lab’s Philip Rosedale/Philip Linden. The two will discuss the parallels, opportunities and challenges of managing two famously diverse, tech-savvy and dynamic communities with global profiles: the City of San Francisco, and Second Life. Mayor Newsom’s appearance is connected with his second inauguration, and he will also discuss his priorities for leading San Francisco over the next four years. Recorded highlights from Mayor Newsom’s inaugural speech will be streamed into Second Life at the event kick-off. The virtual audience will have the opportunity to ask questions of both Mayor Newsom and Philip Rosedale/Philip Linden.
