The latest bad news from the bad folks that generally swarm around SFSOS want to force builders of residential projects to build MORE parking.  They also want to penalize builders who build less, even if the project is on a transit-rich corridor.  This is city planning at it's worst, in fact it's not planning, it's pure stupidity and greed, qualities that seem to be rife in Newsom's administration. Everyone who has minimal planning knowledge knows that building more parking attracts more cars, and more cars mean more car trips, more congestion, slower transit, more dangerous streets for pedestrians and bicyclists.  It's Read This Posty »

What does it take to get the cops to enforce the law?  While cops are busy ticketing bicycles (but not cars) who roll through intersections in the Lower Haight, two major nuicances plague the city, due to cops not enforcing the laws: Cars in the transit-only lanes, really loud motorcycles.
