Every time when the M muni line is 30 minutes behind schedule, the first M car that arrives never goes to the end of the line. It always turns around at San Jose and Broad Street and yet the end of the line stop is only about 5 minutes away. All passengers have to get off and wait for another M car to arrive, which is ridiculous. Why can’t they just continue to Balboa Park, so people can take Bart from there, especially when there is another M-line heading toward Embarcadero Station and many more prior to that? Why can’t the M line be more frequent? It is always so packed and it’s so infrequent when going through the tunnel. They should also have M cars running just between West Portal and Balboa Park to avoid unnecessary delays caused by problems occurring inside the tunnel. Muni has to remember that there are also passengers waiting outside the tunnel area and do not need to go through the tunnel, especially when there is also bart service, which is more convenient for people living between Stonestown and Balboa Park. If muni service can be better planned, it will provide more on time service.
