It’s appalling the number of drivers that endanger the pedestrians and other drivers of our city by making illegal U-turns in intersections. Especially dangerous are drivers that cannot turn west from 19th Avenue and instead, turn right onto Vicente and then make an illegal U-turn to head west. Dangerous because of the large number of St Cecilia school children trying to use the crosswalks there. West Portal is another "accident waiting to happen" site. A single patrol officer could be kept busy all day tagging the scofflaws that endanger the public with illegal U-turns on that busy street.
