I have had a chance to check out the debate. I think you are dodging the issues. The SFPD needs to be overhauled, for real this time - once and for all. Rather than making racist videos, stealing leftovers from people on the sidewalk, or covering up crimes committed by their favorites (Baker’s Dozen-gate), the SFPD needs to concentrate on the appalling murder rate that is now plaguing SF.
In general, SF is seedy and run down. The streets are filthy. Muni needs improvement. And my daily walk - esp. Drumm Street between California and Sacramento - is a shame to the city. Today there were 7 beggars in that block alone - and this is right across the street from the Hyatt Embarcadero, where many tourists stay.
Rather than ducking legitimate questions and holding phony town hall meetings while trying to stifle any real criticism of you, we want to see action. And that doesn’t mean having your staffers go online and post on blogs with fake names. That doesn’t fool anyone.
Thanks for asking.

Thanks Colleen!
I had submitted a very similar post about 4 hours ago (but alas it appears to have been censored and never appeared). Specifically I asked why Gavin all of sudden wants feedback.
Clearly Gavin has no brilliant ideas or even a drive towards solutions. In this case being mayor is highly questionable.
Could the recent appearance of this ‘Pet peeves’ blog be a coincidence given upcoming elections? Either way, it is apparent that only a certain type of ‘feedback’ is welcome on what on the facade appears to be a nice .org. site. Classic Gavin Newsom-style.

Hi Marcin,
I will get to your submission. We’ve received a couple hundred posts today and I’m working my way through them. No need to jump to conclusions.

Dear Brian
I did patiently wait for 4 HOURS!! In the meantime tens of other posts have appeared. In any case my original post is now redundant with my comment to Collen’s post.
Thanks anyway, looks like SF has lots of simple, honest work to do!

Upon Election, Gavin stated that “if the murder rate remains the same in two years, I should be recalled, in fact, I’ll be the first to sign the petition”
I assumed that Gavin was had a plan to reduce the epidemic murders, but in fact the murder rate has since gone through the roof. Gavin could save us all a lot of trouble by resigning before another life is lost. Let someone hold the office who can do something about it. Anything less is dishonorable.
