My block alone has had 4 different construction projects in the last 3 years - one of which is going on its second year. The lost parking spaces, the mud, dust, and noise diminish our quality of life. Is any thought given to how many construction permits and related parking permits are given out in a certain area? Also, how about checking to see if the work is completed in a timely fashion? Leavenworth between Sacramento and Clay has two buildings with incomplete facades that are eyesores. I work in the design industry so I understand and appreciate construction, but you still need to give some consideration to those who have to function next door to it. Progress and improvement are great - but how about giving people a break between projects?
