Having just seen a report on Ch.7, regarding a lawsuit against the Mayor, and the Cilty of San Francisco, by members of the SFPD involved in the At Work video filming of various" spoofs" with such content as violence to homosexuals, and making fun of different ethnic groups, I could not help having to write this correspondence, and voice my total shock, and anger at such an absurd, and ludicrous notion….. How dare they!! These "people," sworn to protect and serve, and enforce our laws, are guilty of taking part in one of the most embarrassing, hideous, specticles to ever come out of this place.
For the whole world to see…….. This wonderful, loving, liberal city’s LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS, participating in this so called "parody, "will have harmful, and tarnishing effects on this city, and it’s residents for years to come. Specifically targeting so many of us with ridicule, hate, racism, bigotry, and homophobia, these officers saw, what they thought was a golden opportunity to" play" out real feelings they actually have toward these people of color, different sexual orientation, etc. Thinking it would never be seen by anyone else, besides their closest brotheren, they appear (from what I’ve seen) to have just had a good ole time with this charade of madness. AND THEN, it is THEY, who are "caught with their pants down"…..
Now, an expectation for us to pity, and feel sorry for them, for "pain and suffering", and other ridiculous, and bogus reasons like, "I got moved to the night shift, and my daughter is despondent over it because I can’t be there with her at night now"……. Can you believe this??!!!?! Does this guy know how many families don’t get to see their spouses, or children for days, or sometimes rarely at all, because of working schdules they have, in order to assure their rent, and bills are paid?? And HOW DARE THEY cry emotional, and every other form of distress they could come up with, in a lawsuit against this city, and our people, when THEY, are the ones who are responsible for this embarrassing travisty, while at their place of employment, and being paid to uphold, and,enforce our laws, and to PROTECT AND SERVE!!!!
If the City of S.F. pays these morons ONE RED DIME, I will hope to always be known to the world, as a person who has fought hard, lives and has lived hard, proudly fighting tooth and nail, racism, bigotry, and homophobia, every minute I have lived here, to do my part in keeping S.F. the most free, loving, liberal, heavenly place you can be on this earth……
HOWEVER……… REWARDING these people (ESPECIALLY THESE PEOPLE IN PARTICULAR) for this behavior, or apologizing, in any way to them, for a "slap on the wrist" they ‘received for these actions, (IF THAT), will no doubt be the most destructive, painful thing we could ever do, and would insult the very existence of every person who ever spent even one breath, much less blood, or sweat, or tears, to make it the proud , and wondrous place, S.F. is…… And with most regret, I Shudder to say, that I believe it would invite the world to change their way of thinking about S.F. dramatically, so much so that, who knows…… the next thing you know, it might just be ok to use the "N" word, or run over a queer………..
