When is someone going to do something about the human vermin that infests this city? It would appear in the downtown area that one cannot walk a block, without three or four homeless people sticking a cup in your face expecting you to throw cash at them. It is a disgrace that this situation is not being addressed. It would not be tolerated in any other city in the world.
If you make a perfectly safe, but illegal left turn onto Geary from Powell, you will find a motorcycle cop ready to pounce on you. Not a chance in hell of finding one to move on aggressive panhandlers, littering the streets a few blocks away. SFPD has to be the most useless police department I have encountered in twenty years of global traveling. Someone needs to tell them to get the lead out and do their jobs.
