I live near the intersection of 19th on Dolores street and my peeve is the people who think it is a freeway from the light at 20th to the light at 18th. We NEED a stop sign on the corner of 19th. People speed down this street everyday. This is the center entrance to the park on the east side and tons of pedestrians with dogs and many with children cross here every day and night. I have lived in this building for over seven years and am surprised how few citations I have seen given. Every once in a while there is a traffic motorcycle cop working the intersection, but I can count them on one hand (in seven years). This intersection is also one block from Mission HS. Now, with summer arriving, the traffic will again increase both on foot and wheel. I would very much like to see autos having to stop, at a very, very heavily trafficed crosswalk.
