San Francisco isn’t greening as much as you appear to believe. Take a walk down San Jose around 23rd, or Bartlett St between 21st and… There have been what could well be toxic and/or flammable liquids sitting in containers for weeks at a time. I see city workers "cleaning up" quite often, but each day when I take my dog out, the trash is still there. Nothing is done about littering. Nothing is done about public urination. I doubt this takes place only in the Mission. I see people throw garbage on our streets as they walk past trash cans and while the police ignore them.
There is a vast difference between residents of the city and citizens of the city. It has nothing to do with nations of origin, background, etc. Residents live here and don’t care the least bit about the city and display that lack of concern daily. Citizens are those of us who love San Francisco and are sickened for the disrespect for the city itself as well as the laws and ordinance in place but not enforced.
I contacted your office, as well as DPW, regarding specific cases of dangerous situations on the street, endangering children, pets and even adults. Lip service is what I got.
I will vote for you again. Show you deserve it.
