Can something be done about the timing of the traffic lights at Mississippi/7th/16th Street? Driving from Mississippi onto 7th, the green light is so short that only 3 or 4 cars can get through before it turns red again. In the evening, this means that traffic is often backed up for multiple cycles of the light. Could this green light be made a little longer, or the one allowing traffic down 16th a little shorter? I realize it’s a complicated intersection, with three distinct streets and a Caltrain crossing… but that brings me to another point about this light, that it isn’t timed with the train crossings at all. When a train goes through, traffic obviously can’t go down 16th Street - but often the lights in every direction will turn red, when traffic going from Mississippi onto 7th (or 7th onto Mississippi) can and should be able to proceed. I realize that my problem is a relatively small one, but I hope it’s one that can actually be addressed!
