A female friend of mine got mugged at the corner of 16th and Mission. There were people around, but no one lifted a finger or even a cell phone to help her. She was more mad at the bystanders than at her assailant (who she kicked in the crotch and got away from). Thieves and muggers feel they can do this more if people don’t stand up for each other!!
