					<description>Wow it sure will be a great thing when there's a barrier on the golden gate bridge!  Then there will be no more suicides!  Just like there won't be anymore terrorists when we're done in Iraq!  Perfect!

This is ridiculous.  If people want to kill themselves they're going to find a way.  Hey.. how about driving another 3 minutes past the bridge up to Marin Headlands?  You could just jump off a cliff there, or kill yourself in any of a million other ways.  

We need to address the reasons people want to kill themselves and think there is no other way out.  A barrier on the bridge will do NOTHING except keep people from doing it on the bridge.  

Anyway, the same money could be spent to increase patrols by qualified crisis counselors ON the bridge at all hours of the day.  The bridge AINT THAT LONG.  This is doable.
