I know that it is at time frustrating to deal with tourists, but they are very very very important to our City and I would like them to enjoy their time and come back with friends. My pet peeve are Cable Car operators who are often very curt and at times rude to tourists. I don’t know of anyone to come to SF and miss a Cable Car ride - even people on business trips make time for a Cable Car ride. The Cable Car operators are ambassadors for this City because every visitor will come in contact with them. Please ask them to be more friendly to the tourists. I know it’s ‘just a job’, but that doesn’t mean customer service skills are not required. In fact, they are encouraged. (I apologize for generalizing, I know several operators on the California Line, my daily commute, who are very nice to tourists. We need more like them.)
