I sincerely hope you are still reading this site Mr. Mayor, and not ignoring it now that’s you’ve won the reelection. In either event, I have made three recent phone calls to the non emergency police line in the past week to report serious harassment by crack-smoking thugs on the 500 block of Hyde street towards anyone passing by and interrupting their glorious and ever-protected cocaine smoking binge, only to have had the line ring, ring ring and ring…with NO answer!! On the third attempt, they took my info and said someone would be coming right over. 45 minutes later and TWO police cruisers passing by without even slowing down…ZILCH was resolved. I guess I will either have to say "hello, I’ve been shot" from now on to get anywhere with this service, or even worse, having to call 911 directly and possibly jamming the system for those whose emergencies take higher precedence. Listen up Gavin…this is NOT south central Los Angeles, nor India. We pay UBER taxes in this city and I expect, no, DEMAND that when I call the police something happens. You will start losing citizens by the thousands very soon if things don’t change (most everyone I know plans to move within the year already as they’ve simply had it with SF), and you can kiss your dreams of a senate or governor run goodbye. Voters don’t care about public cigarette smoking and plastic bag bans NEARLY as much as the crack, piss and sh*t on virtually every corner these days. Get it together this term. You have a clear mandate. MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!
