I'm a big fan.  Thanks for so much.  My problem is the drug dealing and using outside my house on Julian Avenue and outside my back gate on Caledonia alley, both off 16th between Mission and Valencia.  Dealers and users and homeless abound.  Please give the victims services and arrest the dealers.  They ride in on BART, wear distinctive jackets (mostly 49ers), have bicycles, and work the alleys around the BART station.  They are very obvious, at least to me.  The needles, piss, and worse are a daily issue.  Chris Daly has ignored our pleas.  Keep up the good work Read This Posty »

A female friend of mine got mugged at the corner of 16th and Mission. There were people around, but no one lifted a finger or even a cell phone to help her. She was more mad at the bystanders than at her assailant (who she kicked in the crotch and got away from). Thieves and muggers feel they can do this more if people don't stand up for each other!! Can something be done about the timing of the traffic lights at Mississippi/7th/16th Street?  Driving from Mississippi onto 7th, the green light is so short that only 3 or 4 cars can get through before it turns red again.  In the evening, this means that traffic is often backed up for multiple cycles of the light.  Could this green light be made a little longer, or the one allowing traffic down 16th a little shorter?  I realize it's a complicated intersection, with three distinct streets and a Caltrain crossing... but that brings me to another point about this light, that Read This Posty »
