We can’t walk our daughter to the UCSF Gym anymore or to the MyGym in Potrero Hill
The area has been over run with Homeless People!!!

Sunday September 9 at 12pm there are hundreds of motorcycles taking over the parking lot at 3rd and Harrison. The bus lanes and sidewalks are full of cycles. The traffic is at a standstill. Mayor, there is one police car, and both officers are standing among the bikes, for nearly a hour, doing NOTHING. When will you actually make Heather Fong and her team do their jobs and police people?

Today I took the T line from 20th and 3rd to the Embarcadero BART station. I caught a 6:38 train. There was a 30 minute gap in between the train I caught and the next train. It makes it really difficult to transition to commuting on the T Line when the train runs so infrequently during commute hours.

On Saturday I took our 2 year old twins to South Park. Unfortunately, nothing has changed, so we left after 15 minutes.
Two guys were sitting on the bench by the climbing structures, drinking 40 ounce beers. Another collection of homeless/ vagrants at the 3rd street end of the park- shopping carts, etc double parked into the street.
No sun because the trees are still overgrown. Slide has hole in it...etc, etc, etc.
Hopefully South Park is on the list for renovation under the new Bond issue......

More specifically, outside the Hearst building, where I work, on 3rd Street at Market. All of the new fancy hotels and shops have made no difference. Visitors are mortified. My visiting colleagues are shocked. I am uncomfortable every single day. And was mugged once. I have been a longtime Newsom supporter and defender, but now I really need to know exactly what will be done to get the homeless out of the downtown business area. With a solid plan in place, I would be happy to work on camapign and donate as well. I look forward to a response.
Sincerely,

Every day between 6:30 AM and 9 AM if you pass by Howard and Third Streets, there is a fleet of taxicabs who like to park on the NE corner- directly in front of two palinly marked red-zone fireplugs.
It seems the DPT could earn the City some fresh money DAILY if they would only enforce these malignant cab drivers who seem to think a fireplug means you can park there- man, there's no meter!
I am really (really) sick of seeing them there, never getting tickets...

My pet peeve is the area under the Bay Bridge. For the residents of SOMA (particularly South Beach), we have to walk under a bridge to get to/from work, and that is a messy and dangerous construction site. The sidewalks are cracked and I am constantly dodging trash and clutter in the sidewalks. Homeless people gather here making it unsafe for residents to access the rest of the city. Please make an effort to remedy the areas on 2nd and 3rd streets between Bryant and Harrison so that residents can safely walk to and from home to anywhere else.
