All the sick and disgusting creatures groping each other in public
October 15th, 2007 7:52 am

Sorry to say, but I won't be coming back to spend my money in your city again. Used to love to walk around the Pier 39 area and shop. Now with all the sick and disgusting creatures groping each other in public, and you seem to have put a blind eye to them. Homosexuality should have been kept in the perverbial closet with your enforcement being leveled on the street. Now that you have lost control of your city and your cities population so I will not contribute to your tax base any longer. Sorry dude, your loss........Don Read This Posty »

We have the filthiest city in the country
October 10th, 2007 11:34 am

I'm really hoping that you can find a way to deal with the homeless this new term. I know it has baffled everyone, but we have the filthiest city in the country. And it's because of the homeless. I took a friend out to see Sweeney Todd on Oct 2nd, and Union Square was filled with crazy drug addled homeless people on the streets.  4 per block wanted money.  Some guy who just had his heroin hit was falling down in the middle of the street.  My husband said,  "Must be the top of the month---he just got his check." If anyone Read This Posty »

Marines banned
September 26th, 2007 8:00 am

Mayor Newsom, We found it very interesting that you have a "hero" site for all of those who volunteered to help with your campaign. However when it comes to support for our Military, who are volunteering (and/or getting paid VERY little considering the sacrifice that they and their families are making), you can't even give them the decency to clear your streets. All they want is enough time to show their talent, and give others the opportunity to see that they too can be a part of this patriotic experience. It would also show the rest of the world how Read This Posty »

There really is no civility or sense of community in this town
July 6th, 2007 7:28 am

My pet peeve is jerks on Muni, and the riders who ignore them. San Francisco is a place that touts a spirit of community, but you wouldn't know if you're on the 22 Fillmore. The minute some thug starts hassling someone, all the other riders pretend not to notice. There really is no civility or sense of community in this town... and you can see it first hand on public transportation. Name Withheld Read This Posty »

SF has a lot to offer to straight people too
June 15th, 2007 7:28 am

It seems that just about every decision made by your administration is geared towards either making SF not only Gay accepting, but proves to the world that if you are Gay (bi, trans, etc) that  SF is the place for you.  I don't think that Gay discrimination is the right thing to do, by SF has a lot to offer to straight people too, doesn't it?  Why does the current administration have to drive home the message that SF is for Gays.  This sounds like a hateful comment, but from my standpoint, it I am just looking for a little Read This Posty »

The N Judah line is a nightmare to ride in the morning
June 6th, 2007 9:22 am

What should be a 12-15 minute ride for me often takes over an hour.  At least 1-2 days per week the train gets stuck in the tunnel indefinitely and I have to abandon the train and take a bus downtown from whatever point the train happened to get stuck.  This means I take a different route to work several days per month, which is very stressful and frustrating.  It is impossible to establish a regular routine on the N Judah line because service is wildly erratic.  Several days per week a number of trains will pass by all passengers waiting Read This Posty »

Anonymous Hotline at Planning Department
May 23rd, 2007 2:09 pm

I am a home with a hostile neighbor who keeps calling it. Each time I have to open up my home to the city planning department whether justified or not. The city has cited me on serveral occasion even for stuff that existed before I bought my home and had nothing to do with the actual anonymous complaint.  I have no recourse and always have to defend myself. I understand it's intent but it is being totally abused by this person. I feel like my home is under attack yet the city affords me no means to defend myself. Even Read This Posty »

Lawsuit by SFPD
May 16th, 2007 7:50 am

Having just seen a report on Ch.7, regarding a lawsuit against the Mayor, and the Cilty of  San Francisco, by members of the SFPD involved in the At Work video filming of  various" spoofs" with such content as violence to homosexuals, and  making fun of different ethnic groups, I could not help having to write this correspondence, and voice my total shock, and anger at such an absurd, and ludicrous notion.....  How dare they!!  These "people,"  sworn to protect and serve, and enforce our laws, are guilty of taking part in one of the most embarrassing, hideous, specticles to ever Read This Posty »

Too much Green and Anti-Military City
May 9th, 2007 10:18 am

I am tired of always getting reactions from out of towners when I say I am from San Francisco  I get this reaction as though I have the plague.  I blame the Supervisors of San Francisco Gerardo Sandoval and others.   It's a sad day for a lifetime San Franciscan and Republican. This election I am voting to save my city! Steve Read This Posty »

San Francisco just needs to stop with the deceit already
May 3rd, 2007 7:32 am

After hearing from everyone how great "The City" was, I was excited to have moved here. Now, four years later, this so-called great city has never materialized. Sure SF has some good qualities (like many other places) but to call it the best place in the world and constantly bash others to cover up an ingrained inferiority complex is preposterous, misleading, and just plain ludicrous. This city has terrible problems, that for a city its size, are pretty damn shameful. They need to be acknowledged and tackled, not glossed over. When are people going to wake up and learn to Read This Posty »

No Civic Pride
April 27th, 2007 7:44 am

Today I watched a worker cutting the grass on the public hillside across from my apartment at 561 Burnett. There was litter on the hillside and the worker just weed whacked the litter right along with the grass. RESULT: Yes, the grass got cut and the paper litter got shredded. Now it looks like there is cut grass with a light covering of snow. Couldn't the litter have been picked up first, so that the litter wouldn't have been shredded and spread over the hillside. Is this town that poor or lazy. Where's the pride (and I'm not talking GAY Read This Posty »

Filthy streets and Car Burglaries
March 29th, 2007 6:13 am

I love the city of San Francisco.  Heck I moved here from my beloved Chicago because of how wonderful and diverse this grand city is.  However, living here I have encountered three disturbing things that I must mention.  1.  Car burglaries.  It is a well-known fact that if you live in San Francisco you have had your car broken into.  Often times more than once.  Which leads me to my second disturbance. 2.  Overwhelming and aggressive homeless population.  Friends and myself have been grabbed walking down Market St. going to a shows at the Warfield.  The homeless yell and follow Read This Posty »
