My block alone has had 4 different construction projects in the last 3 years - one of which is going on its second year. The lost parking spaces, the mud, dust, and noise diminish our quality of life. Is any thought given to how many construction permits and related parking permits are given out in a certain area? Also, how about checking to see if the work is completed in a timely fashion? Leavenworth between Sacramento and Clay has two buildings with incomplete facades that are eyesores. Besides our homeless issue, which Mayor Newsom and team is making great strides in addressing, my pet peeve in the city is that most of our wires are not undergrounded. I saw some legislation that was going to address this some months ago and voiced my support, but now I can't find anything more about it. This is one of those things that sounds shallow or superficial at first. But, visit a street with undergrounded wires and then visit one that does not have them.
