All the construction that's going on in the Bayview area without regard to the local, in particular the children's, health. Dangerous and deadly byproducts from digging and construction by a particular grade school are causing children to have respiratory problems among other life threatening health problems. WHAT IS GOING TO BE DONE ABOUT THIS? Is the "beautification" of a neighborhood really worth the lives of children?

My block alone has had 4 different construction projects in the last 3 years - one of which is going on its second year. The lost parking spaces, the mud, dust, and noise diminish our quality of life. Is any thought given to how many construction permits and related parking permits are given out in a certain area? Also, how about checking to see if the work is completed in a timely fashion? Leavenworth between Sacramento and Clay has two buildings with incomplete facades that are eyesores. I work in the design industry so I understand and appreciate construction, but

There are a significant number of construction projects occurring at the same time, sometimes within feet of each other, in the Rincon Hill area. This includes the new Rincon Hill condominium high rise, Caltrans work on the Bay Bridge, Infinity Towers and the Millennium. This much construction occurring at the same time has causes massive traffic problems (each project takes at least one lane of traffic out) with construction equipment backing in and out of construction sites, creates a tremendous amount of diesel particulate matter, and non-relenting noise pollution.
