Please help prevent people from being mugged on the short 1 to 2 block stroll from Cortland Street to their homes. With the recent shift in demographics in Bernal Heights, you'd be surprised at how many of your loyal constituents reside there.

The main street of Bernal Hghts is like driving over a mine field. Mission from Cortland to Army is the same. Cortland is especially bad from the S.F. Library to Old Bayshore.
Streets in Noe Valley have been repaved--some twice--while none have been touched in this area in 25years.
On the bright side Mission from Cortland outbound was repaired during your watch. I just assumed this area didn't count.
Thanks for your attention.

I request that the main street--Cortland--in Bernal Heights be repaved. It is really one of the worst streets in the area and a paving would really help the spirit and people of the neighborhood and all those who drive through there.

I think you've done a good job as mayor. I like the way our city is running, and I believe you are doing your honest best to make the city better.
But there is one thing that literally stops me in my tracks here. The condition of our streets is appalling.
I invite you to ride a bicycle, motorcycle or small car from one end of Cortland Street to the other, as I did yesterday. It is one of the worst roads I've ever driven on. Anywhere. In the world. Wonder why Muni is never on time? Try driving a bus on

I travel a lot to other major cities in the country, and find the conditions of our city streets to be the worst of them all. And that is just plain embarrassing since we have some of the best weather in the country.
I don't think patching holes is the long term solution. These streets need to be repaved, patching has continued on Cortland for the past two years and no more than a month after the patching in completed the road is in awful condition and in need of repair.
