I live in the "TenderNob" and see anywhere from 50-70 homeless people PER DAY. I pay $1,000/month to be accosted everyday, to smell and step over urine and feces, see men expose themselves, walk around people sleeping on the street, etc. I see people making drug deals, smoking crack, and shooting up. I see the tourists and their children being asked for money. When I go to Chicago, there are noticably less homeless people there. It really makes a difference on stress levels of people who live/work in SF. I don't care how you do it, but please get these

1. Unreliable Muni Metro service on weekday rush hour times. Why is it that when there are the most people waiting for a train, the system runs only one-car (as opposed to two-car) trains? It's also frustrating to me that the "No food or drink" rule on Muni is pretty much universally ignored. I've never seen it enforced, nor have I ever seen a bus driver confront a fare evader who boards from the back door. I'm sure that the drivers see a lot and endure a lot, but if the public is given the idea that the rules don't

I can't stand how people come to our great City and do their crimes such as drug dealling & prostituation. I live in North Beach and see people come from outlying areas who pee on the sidewalks, knock over paper racks, start fights (whitch is a joke.....go to Oakland with that chip on yer shoulder....you'll die) like on Broadway on a Fri / Sat nights. We, the citizens of San Francisco, have to pick up the bill to arrest them, hold them, and hopefully, send them to jail. Maybe we should only allow people that live here or have a

Abuse of the public housing unit on my block (3850 18th Street/255 Dorland Street). It was intended for elderly residents but has recently become a haven for drug dealers. This has attracted drug users to the 200 block of Dorland. The street is also poorly lit, and homeless people camp there during the summer.

Crime.
Crime crime crime.
My wife and I are expecting our first child. I've lived in SOMA for 15 years, and owned my home there for the last 8, near 6th and Folsom. The crime rate in SOMA has been on the rise for the past several years (a 15 to 30% increase over the past year alone). On our alley, people regularly sell drugs, coupon tickets to the local porn shop, drink, defecate, urinate, prostitute and leave their used needles and condoms all over the sidewalks. It's a health hazard. You have to walk in the street to avoid them. Trash
