PARKING!  I live in the Excelsior (16yrs) and it's difficult to find parking on the street, especially after 5pm.  I've counted a few addresses that have 3 or 4 vehicles and also, they can't park in their garage because: (a) all or part of garage converted to apt; and/or (b) can't accommodate a large truck.   Some folks take up two parking spaces because they are reserving space for their other vehicles.  For safety if I come home late I have to park in my driveway (my garage is used for storage) and big chance I'll get a $100 ticket.  Sometimes Read This Posty »

We live near Brazil Avenue & Prague Street in the Excelsior District. We have reported three(3) stolen/recovered vehicles to the S.F.P.D. within a one(1) month period. One of them was left in front of our property. We also reported one of them today. During this time period we have noticed that there has not been an increase in police patrols at any hour of the day or night. We have to wonder why. I live in Excelsior on Paris just off of Russia between Russia and Persia. Two doors away our neighbor parks his truck which he fills with recycling (bottles, cans, glass, cardboard) all week long filling it up and hauling it away once a week. We have to look at this eyesore all week long as he fills his truck up. At best it is an eyesore at worst a potential health and safety hazard. I have spoken with several police officers in the neighborhood and they say nothing can be done. I would bet this would not be allowed in Read This Posty »
