There is unrestrained over development along the Embarcadero the Ferry Building neighborhood  which seems unplanned and unsupervised. Sections of The Wharf, which should reflect the city, is lined with useless, boring stores that sale the same items. If I were a tourist and went to the wharf area of the city - where many tourist hang out, I would be very disappointed.
