My mother tripped and fell due to uneven sidewalk on Geary Blvd.  She ended up severely bruising her face.  When I took her to the emergency room at CPMC, the attending physician said he sees accidents like this DAILY because of the poorly maintained sidewalks.  I'm a jogger and I'm constantly on the look out for uneven sidewalks.  I've seen uneven sidewalks painted a bright orange to highlight the hazard but that is it.  When is the city going to fix this?  Edwin Read This Posty »

The southwest corner of Geary and Hyde, which is an open air crack market and smoking den.  I have lived here 10 years and only seen cops walk this beat once.  The problem is obvious to all, but no one does anything about it.  When I try to chase them off, my physical safety is threatened. Have you driven by the Alexandra Theater on Geary Blvd at 18th Ave in the Richmond??  What an eyesore! This has been sold/vacant for three years and is an eye sore and an embarrassment to the Richmond district.  Is there no accountability for the new owners? Hi! I support a METRO type line on Geary Blvd, but the investment should be made to put it underground to link it to the rest of METRO.  I don't see the long term benefits of wiping out the green strip on Geary and taking away traffic lanes.  It seems to much of a short term solution.  A truly great city has a great underground and putting it above ground doesn't make sense.
