I fully support getting people out of their cars as the mayor plans to intent. But as a resident, I have to drive here and the streets are getting progressively worse. With all the gas main and other work, we are creating more and more pot holes as the crews inadequately patch the problems they have created. Major corridors like Guerrero and Gough streets are becoming hard and even dangerous to drive. We are a world class city, but our streets don't show that.

In April a comment on a post here contained this sentence:
Cops should be giving 100% of their attention to violent crime, not making things look shiny and hiding the realities of poverty. Why do so many people complain about this? I fail to see the logic, and no, I'm not high at the moment."
Leaving aside the unfounded assumption that drunks in the street are really just unfairly targeted poor people rather than drunks who are poor because they're drunks, there is the wonderfully helpful concept of "The Tipping Point". Five years ago, there were no "homeless" in my neighborhood. Then

The non responsibility of the enforcement agencies to stop graffiti from defacing the walls and windows of San Francisco. Recently the criminals have been using acid to etch the windows so we can no longer clean the paint from the window but now have the expense of replacing the window. I equate the damage caused by the acid etching on the window to breaking the window. Recently at 409 Gough Street seven of our windows were defaced with acid and it cost us $1,400.00 to repair the same and have had to coat the windows with a plastic cover, install
