I LIVE IN THE MISSION & WORK IN CHINATOWN.   I SEE THE ALLY'S CLEANED EVERY OTHER DAY  AS OPPOSED TO THE MISSION IT RARELY GET CLEANED.  BUT WHAT IRKS ME THE MOST IS ALMOST EVERYONE IN CHINATOWN HAS A HANDICAP STICKER--INCLUDING SOME CONSTRUCTION  TRUCKS...THEY PAY NOTHING HERE BUT GET ALL THE SERVICES......... THE CITY IS ALWAYS TALKING ABOUT NOT HAVING ENOUGH REVENUE.  I HAVE WORKED IN CHINATOWN FOR 3 YRS & HAVE NOTICED THAT MOST OF THE AUTOS ON THE ST. HAVE HANDICAP CARDS.  THIS INCLUDES TRUCKS DOING CONSTRUCTION.   THE CITY JUST HAS TO LOOK AT THE REVENUE FOR PARKING METERS & KNOW THERE'S A PROBLEM.  I HAVE EVEN BEEN APPROACHED TO BUY ONE SO I CAN DRIVE TO WORK & PARK FREE.   THIS WAS IN THE CHRONICLE A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO & STILL NOTHING IS BEING DONE.   OVER ALL THE MAYOR IS DOING AN EXCELLENT JOB & WILL VOTE FOR Read This Posty »

10 officers assigned to track down offenders of Handicap Placard abuse...where are the results?  Start prosecuting the offender and fining them the $2500 as allowed by state law.  Free up parking spaces, increase revenue.  Pass new legislation fining doctor who unlawfully issue permits $1000 per instance.  Fire any city employee unlawfully using a placard or license plate.  Rick Gavin Read This Posty »
