That nothing is being done to stop the crime that is occurring in the public housing on Laguna near Larch Way. My daughter and her husband who paid about $900.00 rent per month had to move out because people were being killed at her doorstep and they have two babies.

When is something going to be done about the high level of crime in this city? I live at ** Eddy, across from Jefferson Park. I just read about the third murder at the corner of Laguna and Eddy in less than three months. It is unbelievable that murderers are so blatant in their taking of life!
I attended the neighborhood meetings at the time the public housing was in the building phase after the slum had been pulled down. Constantly the question was asked, "Who will be living in the projects and how

Dear Mr. Mayor,
My pet peeve is as follows: I live in Hayes Valley and ever since Octavia Blvd opened, Laguna Street seems like it has become a frontage road for freeway access. During rush hour there is severe gridlock along the following intersections: Laguna/Waller, Laguna/Haight, Laguna/Page, Laguna/Oak and Laguna/Fell. Oak and Fell were fairly busy prior to The Boulevard opening, but now they are worse. Waller, Haight and Page which used to be fairly peaceful are horrible. Motorists road rage through the neighborhood causing traffic gridlock and blocking crosswalks. At the very least I would like boldly painted crosswalks at

I hear gun shots in my neighborhood at Grove and Laguna fairly regularly these days and I don't understand why there isn't anything being done about gun and drug control. I had just walked my dog past the corner where a young girl was shot at 1pm in the afternoon some weeks back. Something has to be done about finding the people who are doing this and putting a stop to it. Its not just about beefing up police patrol in the area, its about some real social services to make the lives of these people better such that they

How about installing a traffic light at Laguna and Union? That intersection has a lot pedestrian traffic and is a major thoroughfare with the 41 and 45 Muni lines as well as car traffic that connects from Bay Street. In the weekends its nearly gridlocked with pedestrians causing many near misses.
And another thing…. How about you actually fund full staffing of the police department? They are clearly outnumbered and crime is soaring in all parts of the city because there is just not enough coverage. Our current charter limit is killing San Franciscans every single day. With the growing homeland
