I am thrilled to live in a city which attracts and encourages so many diverse activities. Fleet Week was an amazing show of hospitality and community which is the heart of San Francisco. However, The Marina, our little quaint yet a tad affluent community suffers drastically with the events held on the Marina Green and Fort Mason.
The Green is still suffering the damage of cooking oil being allowed to be dumped on the grass, plastic rip ties littering and mass amounts of plastic waste which is blowing into the Bay.
Last night was the conclusion of Oktoberfest, now, don't get

When are you people going to wake up and realize that you have allowed vermon to ruin the once beutiful city of lights. My San Francisco is no longer the gorgeous city it used to be. You have allowed the gays to run wild and disgrace the Catholic Church, you won't allow our military to do commercials on the Golden Gate Bridge. Who put San Francisco in charge. You people are disgusting. And you Mr. Newsom are a disgrace to the American people when you say you will make your city a safe haven for illegals. You Mr. Newsom are

I have always been a supporter of the Blue Angels and fleet week being here in San Francisco. However, since my attendance this weekend I have completely changed my opinion.
I attended the show with my niece and nephew, my nephew being 11 years old. They had never been to the show and I thought it would be enjoyable for them to see the Blue Angels. We had a great day together but I was infuriated by the fact that twice, sailors had come up to my nephew and handed him a recruitment brochure. The brochure actually stated "For ages 11

Mayor Newsom,
We found it very interesting that you have a "hero" site for all of those who volunteered to help with your campaign. However when it comes to support for our Military, who are volunteering (and/or getting paid VERY little considering the sacrifice that they and their families are making), you can't even give them the decency to clear your streets. All they want is enough time to show their talent, and give others the opportunity to see that they too can be a part of this patriotic experience. It would also show the rest of the world how

I am tired of always getting reactions from out of towners when I say I am from San Francisco I get this reaction as though I have the plague. I blame the Supervisors of San Francisco Gerardo Sandoval and others. It's a sad day for a lifetime San Franciscan and Republican. This election I am voting to save my city!

Allowing the Blue Angels to perform anywhere near our city. They represent military power and violence. We need to send a message to the military that we do not support such displays of power. We need to display images of peace.
