Could there be a more selfish neighborhood in SF (maybe all of the country)? No yogurt! No late night pizza! No new housing! No!!! No!!! No more alcohol!!!! No street fair!!! What a joke. There is a crime, murder, homeless, trash, MUNI, housing, etc. problem in town. If these spoiled and selfish clowns looked around for once and focused even a quarter of that energy they waste on killing businesses and entertainment in this TOWN maybe we would actually be progressing and solving some problems here in SF.

The experimental parking meters in North Beach do not give credit full credit of payments in the following situation; a person buys part of allowable time (maybe with all the coins she has) and then returns with change after a purchase but the meter starts at 0 regardless of whether or not all the originally purchased time had elapsed. San Francisco drivers are getting feed up.

1. The escalating violence in my neighborhood of North Beach: brutal fights ending in an ice pick stabbing on our street, human waste of all sorts on our doorstep, shootings, the emptying of hot barbeque coals into the street, etc.
2. Put the 15 bus back on so I don't have to spend 25 minutes to get downtown!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I applaud your efforts to bring a better quality of life to all San Franciscans. I also read about your $100M towards renovating the City's public housing. This seems like a double edged sword. I lived in North Beach after the fisherman's wharf housing projects were reopened, and crime shot up dramatically in the months after the reopening. I would support your renovation as long as there is also a long term plan to keep the neighboring communities crime free. I dont know what that might be, but $100M is alot to put towards a potentially short term program.

I made the mistake of taking Powell St in making my way to North Beach yesterday. I quickly remembered why I had stopped taking that route and my pet peeve. It's difficult to believe that it's possible to double park cars on a Chinatown street for two hours during the morning commute, every morning. You'd be wrong if you bet against it. Beginning around 6:45 A.M. firefighters coming on duty, illegally, double park their cars on Powell St. They go in, shower, shave and have coffee. After 8:30 A.M., they begin to shift their cars with the firefighters going off Read This Posty »

I am a North Beach resident. Over the past few years, the neighborhood (particularly Grant Street) has gotten progressively dirtier, and garbage pick up seems either insufficient or erratic. Also, the quality of Broadway continues to deteriorate, with more garbage, more strip clubs and related sex shops and fewer other business establishments to balance to mix. As a result, Broadway feels both unsafe and unsavory in the evening.

I can't stand how people come to our great City and do their crimes such as drug dealling & prostituation. I live in North Beach and see people come from outlying areas who pee on the sidewalks, knock over paper racks, start fights (whitch is a joke.....go to Oakland with that chip on yer shoulder....you'll die) like on Broadway on a Fri / Sat nights. We, the citizens of San Francisco, have to pick up the bill to arrest them, hold them, and hopefully, send them to jail. Maybe we should only allow people that live here or have a Read This Posty »

Two things. panhandling and smoking in front of coffee shops and bars. I live in Russian Hill now, but N. Beach previously, and am surprised how it prevails even in "more" local neighborhoods....overall though there is no place like SF and you are doing a great job. thank you!
