Where to begin... The beggars plying their trade in this city are not "homeless" and it would be nice if I could go to the store w/out constantly being accosted!  We need laws enforced for the benefit of taxpaying citizens, so firing the incompetent token of a police chief would be a good start.  And btw, Polk street from Union on down is a sewer.  Aren't there laws on the books about keeping the front of businesses CLEAN?   The DPW is MIA in SF.  Enough pandering to poverty pimps and bums and throwing good $ away on gangs who respond to Read This Posty »

Monday about 11:15 all traffic was stopped at Bay, Polk, and Van Ness. Police motorcycles baracaded across both intersections.  A policeman was standing in the middle of Bay & Polk flailing arms at stopped motorists.  Then driving east on Bay several high speed motorcycle cops fly by followed by 4 SUV's. Nothing on the t.v. news last night and nothing in the Chronicle this a.m.  Who was the special guest and why was our taxpayer money used as an escort service.  Thanks in advance Name Withheld Read This Posty »
