Pot holes, fill in's etc. have become the norm. The dilapidated streets have incurred personal cost to my own vehicle and to that of others I know. The city streets in certain areas are so torn up it is hard to drive on them at all. Please, please, please fix out city streets, it's become quite embarrassing...........

I love San Francisco and have lived here for 7 years despite the high cost of living, litter, homelessness, and lack of parking, but my biggest pet peeve is the decrepit state that many of our streets are in. I have actually hit potholes that popped my tires twice! It causes an incredible amount of undue wear and tear on residents' cars.
I know it's tough to run a city as heterogeneous as San Francisco, so I appreciate the creation of this website where residents can air out their concerns!

Without a doubt the disastrous state of the roads in the city. I’ve been to third world countries where the roads are in better shape.
Its getting to the point where pot holes or so extensive that sooner or later your car will get damaged and if you are riding a back you will fall down and get hurt.
Fell St is supposed to be one of the main arteries in the city and connects to the Octavia exit off the highway..but it’s a perfect example of how bad the roads are.
I go out of my way to drive up Turk because

I have a couple of pet peeves.
1. I work in the Union Square area and think that every light should have a walk only signal, then a drive only signal. A good example is the corner of O'Farrell and Stockton. As we continue to build up the retail area on Market and Mission streets, we are encouraging more pedestrian traffic ( all good for the economy), but we are creating terrible traffic and unsafe walking/driving conditions.
2. We have terrible roads in the city, too many potholes to count. Please fix this!
3. Speed bumps in residential communities. I live in

Too numerous to list. However, perhaps the biggest of them all is to repair all those terrible potholes and cracked pavements virtually all over the City! As a long-time resident of SF, it's gotten worse over time, yet your maintenance program to address these problems is going in the other direction. And then, when your pavement repair crew do repair the roads, they don't exactly do a crackerjack job at it. For example, your maintenance team just recently filled some potholes on Cambridge Avenue, near Alemany Blvd. Problem is when you filled the potholes, while smooth yes, the surfaces are
