In Order of Annoyance: 1. Trash EVERYWHERE 2. Potholes! 3. The state of the public schools in the City/ bussing kids all over the place 4. Graffiti 5. Homeless/panhandlling 6. The high cost/tax usage for "affordable housing" 7. Overhead power lines It seems there are plenty of things to focus on in here our own city, please leave national politics to guys in D.C. I have lived at the corner of 18th Street and Dolores for almost 9 years.  I have three children, and we love having Dolores Park so close by.  These days there are approximately 10,000 people in Dolores Park every weekend.  On weekends where there are special events, like Opera performances, Symphony performances, Mime Troop shows, that number can double or triple.  I love all the activity in the park!  BUT!  There is not now, nor has there ever been, a pedestrian crossing signal at the corner of 18th and Dolores.  We thought it would be installed as part of the Read This Posty »

The gas lines near west portal (and other areas of city) are in the process of being replaced.  Why can't PG&E replace the overhead power lines at the same time (and add fiber for that matter).  They already tore up the streets.  It would be so much more beautiful.  Are we still in the 1900's.....  I would argue that most home owners would even pitch in.
