I understand the lack of funds for a lot of basic services but on Sunset Blvd the watering had stopped for months and the mowing stopped as well. How does an entire 2 mile section of street suddenly get ignored. The water is now back on and finally the jungle that was once grass has been mowed, at least toward Sloat. The real downside is that once the grass stops growing and weeds start to grow the neighborhood then becomes a target for people dumping trash so we get a double whammy. Before i share my issue, I want to say unequivocally, I am more than happy with our esteemed Mayor and the wonderful job he continues to offer citizens of San Francisco. Please allow him know, he IS the man for our city! This being said, I however am not at all happy with what has transpired for us as a family this past two months or so. My peeve is the condition of the city parkways (Sunset Blvd., Great Highway, Park Presidio etc. Except for mowing the weeds that used to be lawn there is almost no landscape upkeep and in some areas no irrigation. I think that it was a nice gesture to redo Van Ness and plant Lombard, but before anymore greenery is added there shounl be a plan to maintain it.
