You can't come out of your driveway and the cars are speeding up the beat you. You cant walk across the street for fear of being run over. It's supposed to be a family neighbourhood but the kid's cant walk or play near the street's. Please please !!!!!! I ASK YOU TO PUT MORE STOP SIGNS ON VICENTE BETWEEN SUNSET AND 19TH AVE OR SOME KID IS GOING TO GET RUN OVER. Just take a count of the cars that use Vicente St. everyday and i bet you'll agree there needs to be something done about it. This is the

It seems that everywhere - and I mean everywhere - is defaced by graffiti. It's absolutely terrible and it also seems as if nothing is being done about it. I live in the Sunset, and everywhere you look, you see defacement and vandalism by these people who think any surface is their tablet! I ride MUNI every day, and very rarely am I on a bus or street car that doesn't have some kind of graffiti vandalism.

helloh,
I have lived in San Francisco for three years. I greatly respected and admired Gavin Newsom despite what I heard from fellow activists. They all disputed his competency as a mayor and disagreed with his tactics. I claimed that all I knew of him was good. Until recently. I have found that he has only show recent concern about local neighborhood problems. San Francisco State University is a major asset of San Francisco as it attracts and maintains a large international population, something San Francisco as well as SFSU prides itself. Yet, as one of the nations most internationally known

I've lived in the Sunset district for over 20 years. I've noticed an increase of teenagers that don't live there. They hang out and cause a ruckus at night. Every time I call the non emergency number to have the police shoo them off, no one shows. Cars are being vandalized, people are getting harassed walking by. These kids don't even live there. I know. I've talked to them, told them to keep it down. What do I find the next day, my car window broken. Coincidence?? I think not. Police presence is important everywhere in the city including the

We had a house fire last June and are in the process of repair. The house was built in 1932 in the Sunset. Some of the regulations are costing us a lot of money. The main bathroom in the house was not affected by the fire, but because a permit was taken out on the entire house, we have to bring it up to code. These houses have small bathrooms and we have been told that the shower stall needs to be widened by 2" to meet code. Also the center of the toilet needs to be 15" from the

Last year upon returning to my home in Eureka Valley from visiting my mother in the Sunset District, I boarded an inbound streetcar and fell; the stairs were not raised to the platform level. Not only did the driver not come to my aid, when I approached him and asked for his name, he refused to give it to me. I went to the emergency hospital and thereafter I leaned that I had fractured my foot. I filed a claim with the City, and was treated with the most most utmost disrespect from the City Attorney's office who called my

I like the new trees, but I wish you had used Friends of the Urban Forest for the street-tree plantings in the Sunset. Instead, it looks like you used a contractor who didn't know how to properly plant and care for them. So many dried out and died shortly after planting! Such a waste! The Friends organization teaches that you must water a newly-planted tree for the first YEAR.
