Could there be a more selfish neighborhood in SF (maybe all of the country)? No yogurt! No late night pizza! No new housing! No!!! No!!! No more alcohol!!!! No street fair!!! What a joke. There is a crime, murder, homeless, trash, MUNI, housing, etc. problem in town. If these spoiled and selfish clowns looked around for once and focused even a quarter of that energy they waste on killing businesses and entertainment in this TOWN maybe we would actually be progressing and solving some problems here in SF.

I have lived in SF for over 25 years. I live in Russian Hill, a nice neighborhood. I have recently noticed how filthy our streets have become. I have taken to sweeping a portion of my block to eliminate the trash. I would love to see a campaign that encourages us to keep our streets litter free. I often remember seeing the merchants in Paris cleaning up before each mornings business

As I write this (just after 5AM) they are collecting garbage on Taylor Street at Bush. They had a pretty good track record of collecting after 6AM for several months after I complained this past summer. At that time they had been collecting as early as 3:30AM. I can't imagine that they release trucks that early in the morning to make runs, but I guess they do. Does anyone else in Nob Hill find this annoying? Does anyone else have this problem in their neighborhood?

I love San Francisco and don't want it to change. My friends and I can buy and trade drugs openly, throw our garbage on the street, disobey traffic laws (even with the SFPD present - those lazy f*cks) and even commit burglary and know we won't be pursued. Keep up the good work Chief Fong!!

Men urinate on a daily (and nightly) basis in the trees across the street from my building. Taxi drivers, trunk drivers, motorcyclists, businessmen in suits -- they all think that our street is a toilet. I take my dog out there and am afraid to walk among the trees in case I run into a man with his pants down or step in something he left. Help!

My pet peeves with SF are the unreliability of Muni (why does it take me 1 hour to travel 5 miles!) and also the trash/graffiti/crime problem, especially in the southeast side of the City.

This is a pet pee! Homeless folks constantly sleep, pee and defecate in front of our office on Howard Street near 2nd. Between high taxes, the parking shortage, rampant graffiti, illegal posters and flyer trash, street potholes and the stench of human waste, It makes running a business in SF extremely unpleasant.

It is after all, just garbage. Seeing more and more of it on the #1 California - on crowded buses.

I received an infraction yesterday in the tenderloin for driving in a bus lane. The problem is i was going to make a right hand turn onto Van Ness. How else do you make a right without driving in a bus lane on Geary? This is on the edge of tenderloin. About 3 blocks prior i saw a homeless man with a stolen shopping cart and an addict smoking crack. Where do we draw the line in this city? I told the officer about what i had observed and his reply was "don't you know what neighborhood you are in?" Read This Posty »

I am thrilled to live in a city which attracts and encourages so many diverse activities. Fleet Week was an amazing show of hospitality and community which is the heart of San Francisco. However, The Marina, our little quaint yet a tad affluent community suffers drastically with the events held on the Marina Green and Fort Mason.
The Green is still suffering the damage of cooking oil being allowed to be dumped on the grass, plastic rip ties littering and mass amounts of plastic waste which is blowing into the Bay.
Last night was the conclusion of Oktoberfest, now, don't get Read This Posty »

I'm sick and tired of walking home from BART to my Nob Hill apartment thought the filth and dirt of this city. I spent two months in NY City this summer and was amazed at how clean it was compared to SF. I plan on moving as I am tired of nothing being done about this problem.
Sincerely,

I think the mayor needs to focus his energies on resolving the horrible and out of control situation that San Franciscans are forced to deal with on their streets on a daily basis, the aggressive panhandling, the defecation and urination, and the filthy conditions of our streets and sidewalks. Other cities have resolved these problems and, until our streets and sidewalks are once again livable, these problems need to be his number one concern.
People are tired of hearing of excuses, we are tired of being embarrassed when our friends and family come to visit and ask why we allow Read This Posty »

Noise - I understand that there are certain services that need to be taken care of, and that collecting the garbage and recycling in our city is an important service. What bothers me, is that I pay an obscene amount of money to live in this wonderful city, and yet - every morning before 6:00 am I'm awaken by the sound of the garbage collectors. Why do they have to drive down my alley that early in the morning? Is there not a noise ordinance? There comes a point when it just doesn't seem fair. I realize the garbage collectors Read This Posty »

I was fined $150 last month for trash in front of my apartment that I did not place there. The fine was given without warning and before I was given a chance to pick it up (I never even saw the trash pile before I was cited). The citation stood up in a hearing. Don't know if this is the correct forum to air this complaint, but the fine was ridiculous.

When street cleaning along the panhandle, the sweepers will sometimes leave a 1/2 car sized pile of leaves behind.
