Who does the planning here or is some crazy random pattern? Take 14th Ave between Anza/Balboa. There was little or nothing wrong on that block (never cut into for major work in years - or minor for that matter), yet it got paved over in a couple of days. Yes, nice, but 14th between Balboa/Cabrillo is like some of the worst parts of Golden Gate Park and hasn't been touched in more than twenty years. I know there's some plan, but from my POV it looks too random and is missing the major infrastructure points and just when it looks

Where to begin...
The beggars plying their trade in this city are not "homeless" and it would be nice if I could go to the store w/out constantly being accosted! We need laws enforced for the benefit of taxpaying citizens, so firing the incompetent token of a police chief would be a good start. And btw, Polk street from Union on down is a sewer. Aren't there laws on the books about keeping the front of businesses CLEAN? The DPW is MIA in SF. Enough pandering to poverty pimps and bums and throwing good $ away on gangs who respond to

We have a neighbor who has applied for a variance in order to build an attached garage.
The new garage would have a impact on our privacy as they want to place a large deck on top of the structure. This deck would put them on the same level as our den kitchen and bedroom.
Currently the have a two car unattached garage, which is perfectly usable.
I would like to see the City take a stand on Variances. It seems to us that a variance should only be granted for hardship cases and if granted should

People do not pick up after their dogs. I see dropping all around the neighborhood.
People who party sometimes can't hold down their liquor so sometimes I see vomit on the street (once right on my front steps). And tipped over garbage containers and news stands, flowers pulled out of their containers.

How about installing a traffic light at Laguna and Union? That intersection has a lot pedestrian traffic and is a major thoroughfare with the 41 and 45 Muni lines as well as car traffic that connects from Bay Street. In the weekends its nearly gridlocked with pedestrians causing many near misses.
And another thing…. How about you actually fund full staffing of the police department? They are clearly outnumbered and crime is soaring in all parts of the city because there is just not enough coverage. Our current charter limit is killing San Franciscans every single day. With the growing homeland
