I've lived in the Sunset district for over 20 years. I've noticed an increase of teenagers that don't live there. They hang out and cause a ruckus at night. Every time I call the non emergency number to have the police shoo them off, no one shows. Cars are being vandalized, people are getting harassed walking by. These kids don't even live there. I know. I've talked to them, told them to keep it down. What do I find the next day, my car window broken. Coincidence?? I think not. 1. Vandalism. Last year or two it has become untolerable. Walk down almost any major street in the morning and see how much broken glass there is on the sidewalk. Civic Center is high on my list of the worst. Even the "good" neighborhoods are not safe. SF is not the liveable city it used to be. 2. Aggressive homeless behavior. While the number of panhandlers appears to have decreased those still out there are getting more aggressive and confrontational, especially around Civic Center.
