My husband and I have lived in our Hayes Valley neighborhood as homeowners since 2001. It's a beautiful neighborhood to live in with lots to offer it--great restaurants and shops, gorgeous Victorians, walking distance to multiple music venues. And with the Octavia Boulevard project nearly finished it's just getting better. However, we have since our first day here experienced fear and intimidation because of the presence of groups of gangster-acting youth hanging out at the entrances of corner stores and on sidewalks where we walk at night, especially near the housing project at Laguna and Hayes streets. I feel that we should have a curfew for teens from 12-18, because it would cut down after hours crime.  You have a lot of unsupervised teens out in the Bayview district anywhere from 10:00 to 4:00 am. Name Withheld Read This Posty »
