Eliminate the annual limit on TIC Condo Conversions. Pass one time legislation to clear the backlog. Keep existing OMI, Ellis act restrictions in place to protect vulnerable citizens from eviction. Thousands of TIC units are sold every year, and the condo conversion line only gets longer. More people are giving up and going with individual loans - which give people a reason not to care about eviction history! Don’t punish ethical TIC owners.
