I operate a non profit and agency in SF and live and vote in SF. Violence is totally out of control. I have a proposal that can make a difference. I am including the outline but I have the full proposal ready to go.

C.R.I.P. - CONFLICT RESOLUTION INTAKE PROGRAM

Mission Statement: To assist our neighborhoods in an attempt to reduce gang related violence through economic support programs that will provide income and build self-esteem for participating social groups formally known as a gang in the community.
Statement of Need:
Gang related violence has escalated over the past few years in SF and through out the Bay Area. There are too many innocent people that have lost their lives or the lives of their family members without cause. Random drive by shootings is occurring too often and the majority of the violence is related to economic turf wars for the street drug trade. The time to call for a truce has never been greater than it is now. Under this proposal we believe we can help reduce some of the tension and gang violence and the struggle for street control related to the economics of the illegal drug trade. We will find neutral ground to create a council and communicate the terms of the truce. We will invite representatives from the major gangs that are involved in the neighborhood violence in an attempt to formulate a working relationship between all of the gangs represented on the council. If we are even relatively successful we will be able to reduce violence and homicide related crimes across the board. The council members will participate in the negotiation of the truce or cease fire agreements while we design and develop the strategy for a series of concerts and contests that will raise a great deal of money. This will help the former gangs start legitimate business enterprises that can go on for years to come if they manage their events properly. Music events can become part of the economic business plan and by helping the participants become successful will reduce the violence significantly. The council will come up with a plan of how to share in the proceeds after the costs to produce these events are covered. Each participating organization (former-gang) will provide paid security staff along with the San Francisco Police Department SFPD and San Francisco Sheriff Department SFSD and outside security companies. The contest grand prize winner will get an independent record distribution agreement including digital distribution as a incentive to keep the dialog of healing as the primary focus and message delivered as part of these events. Healthy competition and cooperation will help slow down the violence. We have already secured the retail distribution agreements and digital distribution agreements.
