Let business associations or individual property owners purchase the green newsrack boxes if that will allow them to get them faster. The sidewalks look terrible with the current hodgepodge of newspaper racks on most of the city’s streets. Maintenance would still be expected to be provided by the company which has the contract to do so, but they should welcome private initiative to get more of them on the streets sooner than waiting for the city to do it. What do you think?
