I understand the mayor has been studying manners in which the community can incorporate green policies.  Has any thought been given to incentives rewarding developers and owners who incorporate renewable energy in designs or other environmentally forward looking componants?

The link below is to a policy in Portland that provides incentives to install "green roof" technology benefiting energy consumption, urban heat build up and cleaner air.
