Unless you live in the Marina or venture down to Crissy Field along with thousands of fellow residents, the scope and grandeur of the Blue Angel show and the Fourth of July Fireworks are extremely compromised for those of us viewing from our roof tops.
My condo building is 3 stories high and on the top of Page & Broderick Streets (near Buena Vista Park) and I see maybe 1/4 of the entertainment.
MY SUGGESTION: Raise the height of each of these shows so the central "action" occurs above Pacific Heights. Most of San Francisco’s residents live east, south and west of Pacific Heights after all.
I have not researched the feasibility of my suggestions, so I understand the logistics may be impossible, but Gavin, such a visible gesture of good will and understanding you could impart on the residents of our fair city by the bay.
