I work for the City and County of SF in the Dept of Health. I think we badly need a single City of SF Services Building that could be built somewhere near City Hall. Many of the city’s departments are spread all over in leased space that are making lots of money for the landlords, and losing lots of money for the city. If we were all combined in one large building, clients could get many of their health services and social services in one location, and residents could find building, planning, MUNI, DPW, etc all in one place. The savings in real estate and the savings for more efficiency for all of us who work here would be enormous…….and would pay off the costs in not that many years.
