Put pressure on CCSF to give SF residents priority over non-residents in the RN admissions policy. The State Board that governs these policies allows for residential preference in impacted programs. Surrounding Bay area counties give their residents preference.

Speaking of CCSF. Why is the only downtown campus (4th and Mission) used almost exclusively for ESL classes? Why do those of us who live downtown have to schlep it all the way out to the Phelan Campus (without a car, and taking Muni, you’re looking at at least 40 minutes both ways easy). It would take most of us 10 - 15 minutes to walk down to that campus. But, no, we have to practically go to Daly City for our classes. Core classes just aren’t offered there, and that’s ridiculous! Isn’t part of assimilation learning how to get around in your new city or country? Shouldn’t that go for people who live in Chinatown too (both the 30 and 45 have stops in front of this campus)? Why is the mainly natural born majority forced to suffer as not to inconvenience an oft illegal minority?
